Champions of Perseverance
A national non-profit organization, The Foundation for the Undefeated champions stories of perseverance in sports to inspire greatness in others. TheUndefeated.org accomplishes its mission of celebrating “champions of perseverance” by sharing their stories via traditional media, social media, events and other channels. TheUndefeated.org also supports charitable partners whose works are in line with its mission, and currently is focused on raising funds for Special Olympics of Southern California.
TheUndefeated.org represents the evolution of the nationally renowned and beloved Irrelevant Week celebration that has honored football’s underdog – the last player to be selected in the NFL Draft – since 1976. Paul Salata, NFL alumnus and Founder of Irrelevant Week and The Foundation for the Undefeated always has sensed the power of sharing stories of perseverance, “These are lessons that resonate not only with NFL players and fans, but with people everywhere.”
Irrelevant Week, its honoree Mr. Irrelevant, and the Lowsman Trophy now will become important cornerstones and traditions within the broader mission and reach of TheUndefeated.org.
With the expanded national platform of TheUndefeated.org, the organization will extend its reach to more people, athletes, and charitable organizations than ever before with its inspirational message of the importance of perseverance.
